The launch of 24 month contracts are introduced to new customers. By introducing 24 month contracts, we are able to give our customers even more value for money, by offering the first 6 months of free broadband.
Zzoomm towns are like buses, they all arrive at once! Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Crewe all launch to their first homes and businesses in the area, with a goal breaking uptake.
After a speedy turnaround from the Zzoomm team in the north, Thirsk becomes the next town to join Henley-on-Thames and Hereford to received Full Fibre broadband.
We’re pleased to announce we ranked #37 out of 200 in Singer Capital Markets Most Valuable Growth Companies. Of nearly 35,000 companies that meet Beauhurst’s high-growth criteria, and nearly 12,000 active companies that have received equity investment, Zzoomm is pleased to accept this accolade.
After some challenges across the small city, the first customers in Hereford go live with Zzoomm Full Fibre broadband. The launch proves that there’s a service to suit homes of all sizes, people of all backgrounds, and ages – including the Cooper and Weaver family.
This month, we launch our new home service speeds which are here to stay. With hybrid working continuing, smart homes thriving and the consumer demand for more, we launch 150Mbps and 450Mbps services (previously 100Mbps and 450Mbps). As well as speed upgrades, we also introduce symmetrical download and upload speeds across home services at no extra cost.
Another month, another announcement. We move our network build further South to accommodate for Sandhurst and Crowthorne. Development work to over 10,500 homes is secured and more than 40 jobs created in the civils, construction and administration sectors.
It’s a busy month for our teams as we continue with our network expansion, announcing Cannock and Crewe to be the next Zzoomm towns.
Thirsk, our first town in the North is announced. Local teams begin construction through the Summer and connect over 5300 homes and businesses in the area.
In our next stage of development, Hereford becomes the next town to receive our Full Fibre network to over 28,000 homes and businesses.
We announce a further £100m is raised to accelerate our network build from funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. Leaders among global investments, this news paves the way for introducing new Zzoomm towns across the UK.
Just seven months from our network launch date in Henley-on-Thames, Zzoomm are nominated for Best New USP and Best Consumer ISP at industry leading ISPA Awards 2020.
Whilst the roads are quiet throughout the pandemic, our teams safely continue the network build across Henley-on-Thames. As working from home becomes the new normal, homes and businesses across the UK realise the importance of reliable connectivity.

Our story begins. Matthew Hare, founder and former CEO of rural fibre network, Gigaclear, saw that the age of traditional providers restricting UK market towns to traditional copper, or part copper networks, was out of date with consumer needs. A better choice of broadband was required.
